An exciting opportunity has arisen in a fast paced office, helping to deliver Welfare to Work programmes for local residents, the Council's Employment and Skills team. Some homeworking may also be required due to COVID19 restrictions. The post is for 37 hours a week.
The Project Officer role focuses on providing information advice and guidance to unemployed people in order to get them back into work, including some of who have complex and challenging barriers. The successful candidate will need to work with individuals on a one to one and group basis in order to help local residents find work placements, qualifications and employment.
The role involves working with local businesses and partners in the welfare to work industry and the successful candidate also needs to display a strong attention to detail and must be able to work on their own initiative and under pressure in order to help deliver targets.
Given that the role includes access to personal data, successful candidates must have a current enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS).
