\n·Repairing or replacing alternators, starter motors, battery banks, and faulty wiring in accordance with strict DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) safety regulations \n·Working with heavily integrated multiplex wiring networks that control a bus's doors, lighting, and engine components. \n·Installing and maintaining passenger-facing technology such as security cameras, telematics, passenger counting sensors, and electronic ticketing machines \n \nPERSON SPECIFICATION: (Auto Electrician/Commercial Vehicle/Automotive) \n·Be responsible in repairing and maintaining the company vehicles to a DVSA or higher standard \n·Servicing and major unit changes \n·Be able to carry out preventative maintenance \n·Be able to carry out roadside and running repairs as necessary \n·Be NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in PCV/HGV engineering \n\nTHE COMPANY: \nWe operate more than 500 buses across nine depots throughout the North of England, delivering nearly 40 million passenger journeys every year.
